Intro to Animation & Video Game Basics
Course Description
Prerequisite: INTRO TO CODING or equivalent experience please contact rbrous@smarterkidscode.com to discuss. Use your previous coding experience to discover how Animation really works in code and how this concept is used to make video games. This class focuses on the fundamentals of 2d computer graphics & animation, finishing with the creation of a simple game. Computer Animation is enabled by the Middle School Level Math Concepts of ordered pairs (x,y) and graphing on a 2 dimensional plane. The instructor, Richard Brous, has a CS degree from LMU and is an Animation (DreamWorks) and Video Game (Electronic Arts) professional. For serious learners – with class twice a week, it is critical that your child attend each one and avoid coming late or leaving early. Attendance data is shared with the PEP office, who may contact parent/guardian to discuss chronic tardy or lateness.
Course is every M & W and costs $200.
